Our licensed tour guide, who has known Genoa all his life, will lead you through an unusual urban trekking route to a stunning panoramic point that is little known to non-locals, from which you can admire the entire city. The itinerary will start from Piazza De Ferrari and will take us via mule tracks to Spianata Castelletto, from where you can enjoy the view of the historic center and the Porto Antico basin. Here you can also enjoy a delicious granita or a delicious ice cream in a historic place. The next stop is an incredible corner of quiet immersed in the city, where you can breathe in an atmosphere of times gone by: it is the Antica Farmacia Erboristica Sant’Anna dei Frati Carmelitani Scalzi, built in the 17th century. You will be welcomed and they will explain to you many of the secrets of natural remedies that are still prepared by the Friars with the products of their gardens. As a souvenir of the excursion of the city of Genoa you can find the famous "Valle Scrivia rose syrup", also called "red gold" and "nectar of the gods" for its incredible beneficial properties. The final experience, which you can reach after a slightly tiring but certainly rewarding climb, can also be enjoyed by those who do not like walking for a long time, thanks to the historic funicular that will take you to the Carmelite Convent. We will go down towards the center passing through Salita San Bartolomeo and reach the suggestive Carmine neighborhood dating back to the medieval era. We will find ourselves in a timeless corner of the center of Genoa! The Carmine, as the Genoese call it, is in fact entirely pedestrian and characterized by picturesque squares, alleys and streets with evocative names such as Vico del Cioccolatte, Vico della Fragola, Piazza della Giuggiola or Piazza di San Bernardo dell'Olivella.
